Petra Friganovic’s Heel Falls Off at Armani Show

Petra Friganovic has never fallen on the catwalk, but experienced awkwardness when her heel fell off at Armani´s fashion show.

During her six year career, Petra Friganovic has become one of the most sought after queens of the catwalk, in Croatia as well as abroad. She is the star in the catalogues of Patrizia Pepe and Urban Republic in Croatia. She is a member of Talia Model and lives between Paris and Zagreb. As she reveals herself, on spring she plans on winning the London market where during her career she has not yet presented herself.

During her one month stay in Zagreb, which she dedicated to writing her diploma paper for sociology, she could not resist enhancing Ivica Skoko’s dresses with her body during the Quelle Fashion.hr event that was held last weekend in Varazdin. Petra was delighted with the production and atmosphere backstage, for which she says was “pleasant and relaxed”.

However, when the catwalk is in question, Petra says that people in the backstage soon found out that girls fell on the “scene”.

“That is a part of the job and it can happen to anybody, and when it happens it always turns out sweet. Allegedly the steal created water on the catwalk, and the girls that stepped on that… hmm! Opsss..., but they fixed that soon. Experience does miracles! I have never fallen, once I slid forwards, nothing terrible!” said the catwalk queen.

However, Petra remembered the great awkwardness she experienced at Armani’s fashion show when her heel broke on her high heels.

“At one fashion show by Armani that was important for me in Milan, my 15cm heel fell off on a catwalk that was “100km” long. It literally fell off! The problem was that I could not improvise because the shoes had a hundred straps and buckles, and to take them off you need to sit down on the floor which lasts 40 seconds if you are quick. For me, due to panic, nervousness, fear and shame it took a minute and 30 seconds, maybe longer, and it looked like an eternity. I was laughing, and I sat down on the catwalk and untied the shoe without a heel so that I could continue. Everyone supported me with applause, a smile and it turned out sweet in the end” said Petra.
