FASHION.HR, DAY 2
FEBRUARY 14 2009 17:06h
Women in little black dresses which symbolise real beauty were the stars of the catwalk, despite being over 45.
The second day of the Fashion.hr manifestation in Croatia`s Varazdin, was opened by Natasa Kos` show, who presented two kahtkoma dancers to depict India better. She and the dancers sent a clear message about her inspiration for the winter collection, which includes colourful dresses made of silk and cashmere in gold, green and red. - I did simple lines, because if I had played with cuts, it would have been too much, considering the selection of exotic material – Natasa Kos said.
Igor Galas presented his already recognisable knitting for autumn/winter and high-tech fabrics which he placed in the framework of challenging volume and proportions. However, his creations raise a question, aesthetically, how can a disfigured human form be attractive. Igor Galas 2009/2010 Autumn/Winter Collection.
Etna Maar presented a collection under the name “Sculpture”, which was completed with innox jewellery by sculptor Zdenka Gudic. With stitches on the knitting and silk in black, brown, while and purple, volume was attained in the very construction, as well as during swing. Etna Maar 2009/2010 Autumn/Winter Collection.
Stjepan Cuka used denim, knitting and cotton materials in his 2009/2010 autumn/winter collection and in his modern lyricism, he quoted Camden lads too literary. Stjepan Cuka 2009/2010 Autumn/Winter Collection.
- The goal of the collection was to show a man who breaks certain conventional dress styles, i.e. something which breaks certain standard forms in male dressing of today. Quite urban street, combination with military, punk, rebellion style, completed with Converse tennis shoes and handbags – Stjepan Cuka said backstage, before the show.
Dove`s pro age models caused quite a delight in the audience. They wore creations of designer Ana Marija Brkic. Women in little black dresses which symbolise real beauty were the stars of the catwalk, despite being over 45. After transferring their positive vibes to the audience, Ana Marija Brkic revealed what sort of an experience it was to work on a project which advocates real beauty:
- It was very pleasant working with the madams and I feel they enjoy what is happening at the moment. They had a very positive affect on me and it was a pleasure working with them. I collected my favourite pieces from my previous collections and adjusted them to the pro age models. At the same time, I showed that I have been creating fashion for real women the whole time.
