Two live Barbie girls opened the Toronto Fashion Week, and spiced up the collection that features elegance and leisure.
The start of the Toronto Fashion Week was opened by living Barbie-girls wearing creations by David Dixon.
The Canadian designer Dixon is the favourite choice of numerous stars, and amongst his fans are: Jennifer Love Hewitt, Meg Ryan and Pamela Anderson.
Because the collection is mostly monochromatic, he brought in various looks by using various materials to achieve texture depth. The collection was inspired by the Barbie Doll, which celebrated its 50th birthday this year. Dixon is known for his elegant creations, and the new collection did not disappoint those who like him for his elegance. The respected fashion designer Linda Lunstrom also presented her collection at the Toronto Fashion Week. Because the catwalk was mostly dominated by dark and dull colours, she brought a bit of life onto it with lighter, purple and blue tones. When creating clothing, Linda pays the most attention to what women want. The fact that she has survived in the fashion industry for 30 years speaks that she obviously manages to give women what they yearn for.
Her clothing with relaxed silhouettes and without strictly cut shoulders breathes with simplicity and leisure, which can be seen in the photo gallery: Linda Lunstrom, Autumn/Winter 2009/10 in Toronto.
Zoran Dobric, the Canadian designer of Serbian heritage, also presented his collection in Toronto. His collection was dominated by white, grey and black. His clothing was spiced up with various prints, and the whole collection was partly inspired by Gustav Klimt.
