Text

The self-confident and modern woman should know how to enjoy herself alone, in the oasis of her boudoir filled with cosmetics and clothing.

Once upon a time, the boudoir was an intimate corner where ladies would apply makeup, bathe and change clothing. That small room was next to the bedroom like a luxury oasis, the women’s version of the men’s cabinet. Today such an idea of intimacy is totally unknown, and the only return to the past occurs in interiors that are inspired by the renaissance and French style.

-.--.-However, this is no reason to put off your return to this idea from the past as a woman of the 21st century. For a start, create an intimate atmosphere with candles and the sound of a gramophone. Move all of your long forgotten cosmetics from the bathroom to in front of a big mirror in your room, and decide to try them on your skin, nails and hair.

Let your self confidence rise by nurturing your body from head to foot. Make the adventure complete with a silk robe, corset, suspender stockings, long socks and high heels, only for you. The fine touch of silk clothing and fine French lace, against perfectly nurtured skin and fashion jewellery, will awaken the extraordinary in every soul that is inside your four walls – this is how luxury shows itself in everyday life, with small, but exclusive details with which you will feel like a beauty goddess.

Let the smell of perfume, that expresses the female power of seduction, passion, privacy and intimacy, fill the air. The perfume by the designer Vivienne Westwood called “Boudir”, whose scent has a note of English roses or the very seductive scent “Strip” which is made by Agent Provocateur, create the perfect connection between past and present.

The awakening of femininity, regardless of the fact that you will not share this little ritual with anybody, is the perfect therapy for self-confidence. Go against all of the misconceptions that you have to be seen like that by a man, and reserve the intimacy of the budoar for yourself. Fall asleep in bed with Dita Von Teese’s book on Burlesque. Greta Gabro would say: “I Want to be Alone”, and we are certain that with this she meant: “Cosmetics and clothes keep me company”.
