Even though the recession spread its wings over the Milan Fashion Week, Christopher Bailey made a collection for Burberry that raised everyone’s mood and took their minds off the recession.
The collection focused on clothing that real women would wear in the real world, and it was dominated by grey tones as well as black.
The models that presented the collection wore 18cm high heels, but their huge height was softened by platforms.
The romantic collection was spiced up with velvet dresses, where Bailey mixed textures, which left the impression that we quickly took our favourite piece of clothing from our wardrobes and hurried out of our apartment.
The knitwear that covered the fine fabrics of the dresses gave them extra elegance, and made them an excellent choice for wearing at ceremonial events.
Take a look at the collection that Burberry presented at the Milan Fashion Week in the photo gallery: Burberry Autumn/Winter 2009/10.
