Dresses with threads, ready for a challenge on the dance floor to the rhythm of Charleston, marked Yurkievich’s collection.

Reuters-.--.-The fashion designer Gaspard Yurkievich is known for his presentations on the catwalk, and with time he became more and more sought after amongst fashion aware young women and men who love urban styling with a breath of Paris. This born Paris resident who did his work in the studios of Jean Paul Gautier, Thierry Mugler, and Jean Collon, launched a youthful, energetic collection onto the catwalk of the Paris Fashion Week.

The whole collection was additionally enhanced with a live band. For Gaspard, fashion is a risk, which he proved with his men’s collection in 2004, that made the front pages for its inappropriate connotations in the presentation itself. He shocked against the next year by hiring dancers who presented the collection dancing and bending in inappropriate poses.

However, for Yurkievich, fashion is glam and chic packed into very wearable cuts. Youthful and energetic. Dresses with threads seemed to be made for a challenge on the dance floor, to the rhythm of Charleston. On the other hand, the same dresses were spiced up with recognizable and elegant a la Coco Chanel jackets, whilst the feet of the models were in redesigned black and white boots with open toes, which was also launched by the revolutionary of women’s wardrobes. Yurkievich went back to the 1920s to find inspiration for his spring/summer 2009 collection.
