Disco glam, elegance with crystals, glam rock or rivets- Croatian designers said: Shine during the cold days!

Following the example of international designers whose prêt a porter collections for the autumn/winter 2008/09 season included glittering effects, Croatian designers launched glitter and shine on the catwalk. Winter with a shine, clothes adorned with pearls, crystals and glitter.

Where designers did not put glamorous shine, they put punk rock rivets or wide lacquered belts in S&M style. The creator of the Croatian New Look, Juraj Zigman, decorated his creations with metal rivets and silver nuts, while most designers accentuated their feminine designs by tightening wide belts around the waist, which gave additional allure to minimalist creations or created intriguing designs. Fjaba launched their recognisable shine and glamour inspired by glam rock with a contrast with artificial fur coats and jackets.

The designer duo Elfs combined their sparkling disco mini dresses with a seemingly misfitted tracksuit top. Boris Pavlin, the master of evening gowns, adorned his creations with crystals, including the unforgettable black dress with a spider web made of crystals. The glittery dresses are ideal clothing items for romantic dinners and nights out in discos. Shine like a star and take people’s breath away with an outer space glitter.
