PHOTO: Everlasting Sprout Poem Turned Into Clothes

Text

Photo

We can feel `something` in the texture, odor or even taste. `Something` is hidden here and there…

Sometimes we encounter something lovely and charming,

Sometimes something cruel, even grotesque

`Something` can easily leap across the boundaries of picture books and fairy tales

Yet, music or paintings.

We can feel `something` in the texture, odor or even taste. `Something` is hidden here and there…Reuters-.--.-A model displays a creation at the everlasting sprout 2009 Spring/Summer collection fashion show during Japan Fashion Week in Tokyo

This poem is written at the official web site of Everlasting Sprout.

Noriko Seki and Keiichi Muramatsu, who are behind the Everlasting Sprout brand, have a lyrical concept through which they see fashion. Their 2009 spring/summer collection, which was presented at the Japan Fashion Week, awakens Victorian children whose crinolines are covered with knitting, recognisable for the brand.

Romance in tender colours, like baby pink and blue, accentuates innocence of their creations. Muramatsu, who has worked as assistant designer in Lineapiu Group, Italy and Seki who has a degree in knitting at the Bunka Fashion College, have been presenting their collections and installations in Tokyo since 2005.

They perfectly complete each other – she makes the knitting and he gives it the final form. They see costumes covered with knitting from a fascinating aspect – as material which can be created, its colour, texture and silhouette chosen according to your own preferences. See what Everlasting Sprout have in store for the next season in the attached photo gallery.
