See what the fashion intellectual created for H&M and if it is worth spending the night in front of the store to get your clothing item.

The countdown has started. Since the Swedish chain H&M announced a capsule collection designed by fashion intellectual Rei Kawakubo,-.--.-Rei Kawakubo for H&M the founder of the brand Comme des Garcons, the fans of intriguing designs started biting their fingernails in expectation. The collection will have its debut on November 8 at the opening of H&M’s new store in Tokyo. The sale in 200 selected stores across the world will begin on November 13.

Rei Kawakubo designed women’s and men’s clothing as well as accessories and perfume, while the announced collection for children will not be there. The design for intellectuals: jacket and trousers, dotted shirts, woollen skirts and a jacket-coat in Victorian style as the chief item in the collection.

- I have always been interested in the balance between creation and business. It is a dilemma, although for me creation has always been the first priority. It is a fascinating challenge to work with H&M since it is a chance to take the dilemma to its extreme, and try to solve it – Kawakubo told Vogue after the cooperation had been announced.

H&M became famous by copying current designer trends. After they won over the market, they started a cooperation with the most influential names of the fashion industry: Stella McCartney, Karl Lagerfeld, Viktor & Rolf and Roberto Cavalli, whose tiger prints literally caused a fight in stores on the day the collection was launched. The clothes with low prices and designer signatures made fashion lovers with shallow pockets to spend the night in front of stores so they could stand in line on time and grab their piece of clothing. Comme des Garcons madness will soon begin in front of H&M.
