Janica Kostelic supported artist Stella Brernhardt in modelling a one-ton stiletto from a block of ice.
ZAGREB, CROATIA – Everyone who happened to be in Zagreb`s signature square on Saturday had a chance to see a giant stiletto being modelled. Famous artist Stella Bernhardt won the support of the most famous Croatian skier, Janica Kostelic and company Modern Ice.
During the modelling process, artists and Janica, who ventured out and did her best in modelling for the first time, used various tools, saws and picks. It took four hours to sculpt the entire stiletto. The sculpt was modelled after the actual model of a Miss Sixty stiletto and was 1.5 metres tall and 2 metres long.
This was the first art installation of the “Miss Sixty Stiletto” project, created as a result of collaboration between Transport Footwear and famous artist Stella Bernardt. Throughout the year, Bernhardt will present several predimensioned stilettos sculpted from odd materials like straw and chocolate.
The ice masterpiece was presented to the Zagreb public as starting positions were being determined for the ladies` slalom run as part of the Snow Queen Trophy in Mount Sljeme.
