This is an opportunity to expand the Christian faith and to come into contact with the living Jesus who heals and liberates, said fra Linic.

“Back in 1987 I was suffering from multiple sclerosis, I was blind in one eye, my hands and legs were paralysed, I fell into depression and dark thoughts crossed my mind. But then at a seminar by (priest) fra Linic I experienced a spiritual address, and Jesus physically healed me. Since then I have been working and serving God as a sign of my gratitude, and I live by the gospels – said Franjo Boskovic.

He is only one of the tens of thousands of people that attended the Catholic spiritual renewal “My Lord and My God” led by fra Zvjezdan Linic this weekend in Zagreb’s “Doma Sportova” (home of sports) building. Masses of old and young people, healthy and sick, tried to, at least for a while, forget their problems, troubles, pain and suffering, and strengthen their faith. Some have come to physically be healed from serious and terminal illnesses, some to get rid of their vices like alcohol, drugs and gambling. Others have come out of curiosity, and others still because they are simply delighted that various miracles occur. Some simply want to take in the peace and gather strength to go on. However, there were those that wanted to witness the strength of the Holy Spirit.

“Everyone should be open to the process of the address and in that way expand their Christian faith. This is an opportunity and calling to get into contact with Jesus, and the gospels tell us that he liberated and healed many people. So, Jesus is alive today in the church. Let us be like the apostle Thomas and say “My Lord and My God”. Those were the words that he shouted when he admitted that Jesus was his master – inspired by the Holy Spirit, said fra Linic.

Meeting with the living Jesus

Linic continued to explain that there is no other life, other truths than Jesus, and wanted the desire and will to meet the living Jesus to form in the hearts of all of those present. In the heat of his speech, he mentioned that all of what is written in the Holy Bible, was written for all of us, because “believing, we have life in Jesus”. He then addressed everyone present in the full hall of the “Doma Sportova” building, by saying that they need to check if they had enough strength to promise Jesus that he was the first and most important thing in life, explaining that with many people that live in sin, their spiritual life is not in accordance with faith or Christian principles.

“I experienced a address 20 years ago meeting with the living God via holy songs. I left the band that I was with at the time and started to write holy songs. For the last six years I have been an animator for songs at seminars by fra Linic. Regular prayer and attending mass give me indescribable strength – said that spiritual singer-songwriter Luka Balvan.

The 20 year old Mateja Sivak carefully listened to the father’s words. She came to the seminar at the suggestion of her boss, and as she admitted, she was praying to successfully finish her studies at university, and for her family. She also said that she is interested in being in the presence of the Holy Spirit after the priest’s prayers.

“I have seen that God really does exist because he healed me with his words, not only spiritually, but physically – said Pavo Muzinic about his vast experience from numerous spiritual seminars that were held by fra Zvjezdan Linic.

Fra Zvjezdan also mentioned superstitions and cults that are more present than ever in Croatia and the world, stressing that it is a sign that we do not know our Christian faith, or that many are going in the wrong direction.

“For Christians, the word Jesus should be precious, because it refers to the supreme ruler of the whole world. That was the revelation of the apostle Thomas and the height of his growth when he fully gave his life to Jesus- because there is no other life, other truth, and this is why he fell before Him and admitted that he was his master. So, let Jesus be the Lord and God to all of us – said fra Zvjezdan Linic passionately.
