PHOTO: Madrid Opens Human Body Exhibition

The exhibition gives a detailed view into the complexity of our organs, and their systems like never before.

An exhibition of human bodies has opened in Madrid, and will be open until April 30, 2008. The exhibition shows the detailed structure and workings of the human body.

The display is made from real whole organs or their parts, that have been precisely removed from the whole body, which enables the visitors to get a detailed view of the complexity of their own organs, and their bodies like never before.

The exhibit has been separated into a number of sections, and every room shows the visitors a certain part of the body: bones, muscles, reproduction system, respiratory system, nervous system…

There are also a number of whole bodies in lively poses on display, so that visitors can connect them with their everyday activities.

Also, there is a detailed display of what happens when we eat too much, or when we do not get enough exercise. There are also lungs on display: those of a healthy person, and the lungs of a long-time smoker.
