PHOTO: Models Seek New Conquest At Casting

Models must be ready to take on new commissions through Elite, Beatrice and Wilhelmina agencies with their figure and personality.

Fashion agent Giorgio Barbieri of Milan-based Beatrice agency, Marie Kwong of Hong Kong-based Elite agency and Wilhelmina models president from New York Dieter Esch paid a visit to Zagreb`s Midikenn agency, searching for new faces to rule the covers of magazines, catwalks, campaigns and TV commercials. They all agreed on one thing: Croatia is the destination for real beauties!

Among the beauties holing their books in their hands, who impatiently waited for their turn to present themselves, was Sanela Seferagic, the cover face of prominent French cosmetics company Caudalie, and she wore fashion shows by Burberry and decorated many magazine covers like Elle and Vogue Spose.

Tamara Pernar also wanted to have her go at new conquests, who started actively modelling this summer and has won over editors of established magazines in this short period, posing for War Magazine, Nylon, Dazed & Confused and Harper`s Bazaar. She also wore Vivienne Westwood`s charity fashion show in London. This time, she had her mind set on going to New York.

Midikenn`s latest novelty Mia Franic (15) did not miss this casting, who arrived in Zagreb from Split, accompanied by her parents. Mia started modelling just three months ago and the agency has high expectations of this young lady.

- I went to my first casting a month ago and this was for the Women agency. I am now preparing for a one-month stay in Milan, where I will be working for that agency and this will be my first month away from home. I would love to go to New York, seeing how I signed a contract with an agency there, I`m going to spend my summer holidays there – Mia said.
