Dori Iva Sulentić and Ida Prester were inseparable, and revealed that they are great fans of the Startas shoes, and that they would include in them in their fashion expression easily.
“I always wanted to have a bike, but the time was such that I could not”
Everyone wore Startas when they were small, even the Croatian president Stjepan Mesic. His ones were not in all colours like today, but ordinary white and blue.
“They were not in various colours, they were white and blue” said Mesic in his short appearance at the exhibit where, amongst other things, he came to congratulate Massarotto.
As a young boy he always wanted to have a bike, but his wish was never fulfilled.
“I always wanted to have a bike, but the time was such that I could not have it. Whilst I went to school I was not in my town of birth, I was in Zagreb studying, I could not have a bike, when I started working, then I bought a car” said Stjepan Mesic.
When asked about the meaning of this exhibit, Mesic stressed that it is a great success for Croatia, and that the designer helped the country as much as he could.
“That is a great success, we are not aware what we gain with this small exhibit. We gain knowledge and our product that is competitive in the world, and Croatia must prove itself in this. This is why I am thankful to Mauro who chose Borovo. Whilst he is helping Borovo, he is helping Croatia, his homeland” says the president.
