PhotoLondon designers were dominant at Wella, who raised the bar of the entire fashion event.
Wella Fashion Week has closed its doors, at least as far as fashion shows go, while the entire fashion story will end on December 6 with the traditional humanitarian Fashion Flee Market. Just like the previous nights, London designers were dominant during the final evening, who raised the bar of the Croatian edition of the Fashion Week.
However, it was not easy to please all the foreigners, some misunderstandings occurred. Thus,
Black Coffee failed to show up during the last night, because the catwalk made of carved out sheet metal was not what they had expected.
Organiser junior Sarah Josipovic did not trouble her head with this, saying it was impossible to please everyone.
- There were not many arguments, our catwalk did not suit their idea, while most designers, home and foreign, were pleased. For instance, PPQ from London were thrilled because they imagined such a runway – Sarah said.
Romero Bryan from London opened the fashion shows with a collection of dresses intended for self-aware, sophisticated women who will know how to wear the dress to emphasise her attractive figure, without seeming vulgar. The London designer creates outfits for r`n`b stars like Usher, Destiny`s Child, Mel B and others.
Designers Mandali Mendrilla pointed out that something new and different always comes in handy, unlike the collection which consisted of classic Indian tunics which we can see on the market in the summer time. Common cotton with prints and details.
Artidjane decided on a performance with actresses, who presented the collection with layered dresses, which might be described as creative chaos of asymmetrical cuts with excellent results.
Famous for old 1920`s Zagreb seal to her creations, Vladina Dajcic presented romantic dresses in her recognisable retrospective style, using materials of various tapes of Italian silk and brokat with special hand processing.
Simone Manojlovic chose an odd combination fore her latest collection, mixing rough jute with soft materials, crating baggy dresses.
Robantico had a big comeback, who refreshed his collection with previously affraying with Fashion Cat Marko Grubnic through the media. He presented his collection called “Beautiful Maria”, inspired by the 60s housewives, ending with glaring creations from the 90s.
The evening was closed with Portuguese designer Louis da Gama with a London address, who has already presented himself at Wella Fashion Week several times. This designer is trying to inspire people to discover their own creativity with his fashion expression. Women`s sensuality is accentuated by casual, layered dresses which marked his latest collection
Talking with us, Louis repeated several times that he was delighted with Croatian fashion and that Zagreb has become one of his favourite destinations.
- A special type of energy is sensed here, of people who express themselves so well through fashion, I lobe coming here and every time, I am welcomed by something new that always fascinates me. I think that Zagreb is slowly turning into a European fashion capital – Louis comforted us.
The night ended with the Manda Wella Fashion Week award being presented. A jury of experts named Ines Kus the best young designer, while the audience assessed Mart Buzolic as the best designer. Zorica Pupovac was named best model.
