Text

Sony gave Microsoft’s face good slap in announcing their reinforcement to the PS3 army in a bid for the take over of the world market.

According to ChannelWeb (CRN), at the E3 fairy Sony spread a news which will make its present and future fans leap for joy. Sony announced a new PlayStation 3 model with a 80 GB hard disk at the price of 399 dollars.

Hence they will substitute the previous PS3 model whose price was 499 dollars.

-.--.-- The new 80 GB PS3 model will be launched on the market in September – Sony wrote on its internet page.

The new model will also contain integrated Wi-Fi and Blu-Ray palyer, but like the present PS3 model, it will not be compatible with PlayStation 2 games. Therefore, the 40 GB version will “retire”.

Sony’s report arrived a week after Microsoft announced the new price of its 40 GB Xbox 360, with a cut from 349 to 299 dollars.

Microsoft is also planning to present the new 60 MB Xbox 360 model, whose price will amount 349 dollars.

With a price cut of PlayStation 3, Sony wants to get out alive from the console war and reach Xbox 360 on the market at least for a moment.
