This is the right time to clear out your makeup drawers, so for a start, we advise you to throw away that old lipstick.
We are bringing you several tips that should help you choose new makeup and how to use it. Since it is time for spring cleaning, we advise you to get rid of your old makeup.
Tip no. 1. Buy lipstick with white paper
When you are buying new lipstick, you should bring along a piece of white paper. Light in shops is unnatural and emphasised. In order for you to make the right choice, draw a few lines with lipstick on the paper, go outside in daylight and decide if that is the shade of lipstick you want.
Tip no. 2. Blush is applied on round parts of the face
Most women make a mistake while putting on blush. In order to avoid redness all over your face, smile. As you smile, round parts of your cheeks become emphasised. Remember them and put blush only on those parts.
Tip no. 3. Corrector that sticks
Before applying powder, apply corrector in small amounts, but in several layers because that way it will last longer.
Tip no. 4. Oily skin hates tonics with alcohol
Oily skin does not tolerate well tonics with alcohol, so try to avoid them as they could dry out your skin. If you have oily skin, try to put on as little moisturising cream as possible before you put on makeup because it can cause smudging.
Tip no. 5. Throw away old makeup
Although you have an emotional bond with old bottles of perfume or you like the shape of your favourite makeup whose expiration date has come and gone, it is time that you get rid of your old makeup. Apart from damaging your skin, old makeup does not look as well as new and fresh makeup. So, throw away old makeup, get new makeup and put it in special boxes to prevent damage.
