VIDEO: Play Your iPhone Like A Satyr Would

SMule presented their ingenious software which transforms the iPhone into a sweet fantasy pipe through motion, breath and touch.

SMule Ocarina (name given to ancient “musical pipes” dated almost 12 000 years ago) software represents the first real, although virtual, musical instrument made exclusively for the iPhone.

-.-YouTube/Video Capture-.-Virtual Ocarina is sensitive to breath, touch and movement, which means you can reproduce your music by blowing into the microphone while you gently press digital “holes” on the screen (see attached video).

Ocarina creators call their software a “social application”, because users can touch the “globe icon” and listen to music from people all over the world. They can also find the location of the person playing the virtual ocarina by choosing the “global view” option and rate their playing skills accordingly.

It should be noted that this new generation entertainment software has a small learning curve so practice is needed before you become a skilful player who can impress relatives or wider, global audiences.

Ocarina is available for purchase from the Apple iTunes store for only 99 cents. Would-be musicians can find more information on this software for the “world’s most wanted phone” by visiting the SMule official web site at ocarina.smule.com
