Zipper Jewellery Enriches Manivongov’s Collection

Kate Cusack´s zipper collection, which has the shine of diamonds, spiced up designer Nary Manivong’s prêt a porter collection.

The jewellery made from zippers was made by the artist Kate Cusack, and was used to spice up designer Nary Manivong’s collection for autumn/winter 2009/2010, which was presented at the New York Fashion Week.

The self taught Latino-American designer Manivong debuted at the New York Fashion Week in autumn 2005, and his functional and sensual clothing is intended for the self-confident sophisticated woman.

His dresses were excellently complimented by Kate Cusack’s jewellery, who stressed what most designers hide. The elegant and sophisticated design shows that an unsightly item can be turned into a fascinating piece of jewellery, and that metal teeth can shine like diamonds.
