Sztojka, after whom an international arrest warrant was issued, handed himself over to police on Thursday, Hungarian police reported.
Ivan Sztojka, the third suspect in the murder of Romanian handball player and inflicting serious injuries on Croatian and Serbian players, surrendered to Hungarian police in Veszprem, the local police spokeswoman told the MTI agency.
Sztojka, after whom an international arrest warrant had been issued, turned himself in late Thursday evening, spokeswoman Agnes Beleznay said, adding that police have begun questioning him. He arrived at the police station accompanied by his lawyer.
Romanian Marian Cozma, a handball player for the Veszprem club, was stabbed to death on February 8 by hooligans in front of a night club in the Romanian town. Croatian handball player Ivan Pesic, 23, was stabbed, so his kidney had to be removed, and Serbian player Zarko Sesum, 22, was also seriously injured in the attack.
The first two suspects, Sandor Raffael and Gyozo Nemeth, were arrested in Austria that same night.
