THESE ARE THE RULES

Nobody near the ring or the referee inside the ring, saw the disputable eye poke until the tape was replayed, UFC said.
Mostapha Al Turk tried to fight for himself, because he believes that he lost to Mirko Filipovic Cro Cop because the Croatian fighter poked him in the eye. However, nothing will come out of his attempts, which was expected.
The UFC does not change the referees` decisions after fights and this is the main obstacle for Al Turk. Of course, a precedent is always possible, but things were not nearly drastic enough for the rules to be scrutinised.
- It`s very simple. By the unified rules... first of all the referee didn`t see the foul. What you`re asking is can we go to instant replay. You`re saying now that the fight`s over, can you take a look at it? If the referee had seen the finger and stopped the fight immediately, he could have given a stop for five minutes to recover, and then if (Al-Turk) couldn`t have gone on, it would have been a no-contest – UFC vice president Marco Ratner told MMA Weekly.
According to the rules, in case something happens which is not allowed and the referee notices it, the damaged party can have a five-minute break and if he cannot continue the fight, the result will be a draw.
This happens in most of Kong`s matches, because the Frenchman constantly hits his opponents in the genitalia, which is why they request a break and the referees allow it. Also, apart from Cro Cop, Al Turk experienced Kong`s mo and was given a break.
