Astros' Lee day-to-day after collision

CINCINNATI, May 2 (UPI) -- Houston Astros outfielder Carlos Lee will remain with the team after injuring his ribs in a collision with a teammate, the team said Monday.

Lee was carted off the field in the seventh inning of Sunday's win over the Milwaukee Brewers after crashing into shortstop Angel Sanchez.

Medical exams revealed no broken bones and the slugger is listed as day-to-day, Astros Manager Brad Mills said in Cincinnati.

"He's still stiff and sore, but obviously we're glad to hear the CT scan was negative and the X-rays were negative," Mills told MLB.com. "We'll check him out and see how he is and go from there."

Lee had gone 2-for-3 with a three-run homer in the game before the incident.
