The 57-cap scrumhalf, who joined Toulouse after the 2007 World Cup, should be fit for April`s Heineken Cup quarter-final against Cardiff.
"Byron had a scan which revealed he had sprained his knee but the ligaments were not ruptured. He will need about six weeks to recover," team manager Guy Noves told Reuters on Sunday.
Kelleher limped off the field ten minutes before the end of a French championship game between Toulouse and Biarritz on Saturday.
