Redd tore anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments in the knee during the third period of the Bucks' win over Sacramento on Saturday, Milwaukee general manager John Hammond told www.nba.com/bucks. Surgery will be scheduled at a later date.
"I'm deeply disappointed but everything in life happens for a reason," Redd said. "I will be supporting them wholeheartedly from the sidelines and working equally hard to return to the court in the best condition possible for next season."
The 29-year-old Redd started 32 of 33 games for the Bucks this season. He averaged a team-best 21.2 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.7 assists.
