Coventry City were rewarded for their shock victory over Manchester United with a home tie against West Ham United.
The Championship (second division) side stunned a young United side 2-0 at Old Trafford on Wednesday which left United boss Alex Ferguson "shocked and flabbergasted".
Holders Chelsea, who beat Championship club Hull City 4-0 on Wednesday, were given another relatively easy draw with a home tie against Leicester City, also of the Championship.
Leicester won 1-0 at Premier League Aston Villa in the last round.
Premier League leaders Arsenal, and Liverpool, who have won the competition a record seven times, also play Championship clubs.
Arsenal travel to Sheffield United while Liverpool will be at home to Cardiff City whose attack is now led by celebrated Liverpool old boy Robbie Fowler.
There are two all-Premier League games between Portsmouth and Blackburn Rovers and Bolton Wanderers and Manchester City.
League One (third division) Luton Town are at home to Everton while Tottenham Hotspur entertain Championship club Blackpool, in their first meeting for almost 17 years.
The ties are due to be played on Oct.29 and Oct 30.
