The victory, coupled with Austria`s 1-1 draw with Poland, ensured Croatia a place in the last eight.

Croatia joined Portugal in the quarter-finals of Euro 2008 on Thursday after upsetting Germany 2-1 in Klagenfurt to go top of Group B.

The victory, coupled with Austria's 1-1 draw with Poland, ensured Croatia a place in the last eight before their last group match against the Poles. On Wednesday, Portugal became the first team to go into the quarter-finals.
