The best Croatian diver has achieved a new national record in diving without fins, and has won gold in static.
On February 21, at the third open championship of Serbia in Belgrade, in freediving (diving holding your breath), the Croatian diver Goran Colak set a new national record and won three gold medals.
Those medals, or first positions, enabled Colak to take the overall win at that international competition. The disciplines were conducted in-pool, and the record was set in the discipline “dynamic apnea without fins”.
Colak performed excellently in that discipline, and dived for 136 meters, which was enough to win. Besides that phenomenal success, in the discipline of “static apnea”, Goran spent seven minutes and two seconds underwater, which was enough to beat the competition.
This success is more proof that Croatia achieves great results in various sports, because of which the responsible organizations should dedicate more time and money to sportsmen and sportswomen who promote Croatia all around the world.
