By winning the Kvitfjell downhill race, Didier Cuche has ensured the small crystal globe in this discipline.
Swiss Didier Cuche won the first place and small crystal globe in a strange downhill race in Kvitfjell. After the first 11 skiers had crossed the finish line, the race was suspended for over an hour because the thick fog in the middle part had reduced visibility. When the race continued, the Swiss skier won ahead of the Canadian Guay and Buechel from Liechtenstein. With this victory, Cuche achieved an unreachable advantage and can leave for the World Cup finals in Switzerland without any pressure. The super giant slalom takes place in Norway on Sunday.
