Seven games were played in the NBA league. Only Seattle and San Antonio had away victories.
Dallas is sweeping everything that stands in its way. The team chalked their 16th successive win by defeating New Jersey 102-89 at home, which guarantees them entry in the play-offs. Their best players were Terry with 24 and Nowitzky with 22 points. Carter scored 32 points for the away team, but could not take on Dallas all by himself.
Another Texas team is great shape. San Antonio achieved the 10th win in row. They defeated Portland 99-94 in an away game. The last quarter was crucial, which the guests won with a 14 point advantage. The best San Antonio players were Duncan with 24 and Ginobili with 23 points. Roy had the best score in the Portland team, 19 points.
The L.A. Lakers have started another series of bad results. Their third successive defeat came in the game against Minnesota, which they lost 117-107, after two overtimes. The best Minnesota players were Davis with 33 points and 10 jumps and Garnett with 26 points and 17 jumps. Bryant scored 40 points for the Lakers and had 13 jumps and eight assists.
Washington defeated Toronto 129-109 at home and achieved the third successive win. The best players on the winning side were Arenas and Jamison with 25 points each, and Bosh scored 25 points for the guests.
Even though they played without Artest, Sacramento achieved the fourth victory in a row when they defeated Indiana 102-98 at home.
The evening's results:
