Danko Radic Diagnosed With Kidney Cancer

Danko Radic was diagnosed with kidney cancer, and ended up in Sveti Duh Hospital.

The president of the basketball association and the director of the NLB league, Danko Radic has a tumor on his kidney.

He will be operated on Thursday in which his kidney will be removed. Doctors believe that Radic will recover fully.

Danko Radic is an ex basketball referee who replaced Ivan Suker as the president of the association in 2005. The generation of ’92 led by Skansi, Vrankovic, Rada and others tried to remove him from power but did not succeed, instead they both declared that they would bury the hatchet. The representative of that generation, Rada did not want to comment about Radic’s sickness.

Leaders of the association are shaken by the event. We caught up to the main secretary Zeljko Draskic on the way to the hospital, who also did not want to comment.
