Eduardo suffered a fractured leg and open dislocation to his ankle in a Premier League game at Birmingham City in February.

Arsenal's Croatia striker Eduardo da Silva could be fit by November while their Czech Republic midfielder Tomas Rosicky may be back in action by next month, manager Arsene Wenger said.

Eduardo suffered a fractured leg and open dislocation to his ankle in a Premier League game at Birmingham City in February while Rosicky's hamstring problem has kept him sidelined since he limped off against Newcastle United in January.

"The situation is positive for both players," Wenger was quoted as saying on the north London club's official website (www.arsenal.com). "We believe Tomas could be available in September and Eduardo maybe in November."

Soccer - Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez is back in Argentina's squad for a friendly against Belarus in Minsk on Aug. 20 after missing their last two World Cup qualifiers, the Argentine Football Association said.

In two qualifiers in mid-June, Tevez served a suspension when Argentina played Ecuador in Buenos Aires, a 1-1 draw, and was left out of the side that held Brazil 0-0 away.

Soccer - Ottmar Hitzfeld has named five uncapped players for his first match in charge of Switzerland's national side, a friendly against Cyprus on Aug. 20.

The former Bayern Munich boss said Borussia Dortmund striker Alex Frei, who will miss the game through injury, would remain as team captain.

Soccer - Bolton Wanderers completed their fourth signing of the close-season on Wednesday, announcing on their website (www.bwfc.co.uk) that Nigeria international defender Danny Shittu had completed his move from Watford.

He follows Johan Elmander, Riga Mustapha and Fabrice Muamba to the Reebok Stadium.
