WENGER OPTIMISTIC

Although he is ready to play, he will have to wait a bit to play for the first team because he has only played 45 minutes so far.
Arsenal’s manager Arsene Wenger said Eduardo Da Silva is completely ready to play after having suffered a broken leg during a match against Birmingham last year.
- Eduardo is fit now and available to play. Of course he lacks competition and you can't put him into a Premier League game at the moment – Wenger told Arsenal TV, adding that he was impressed by what Eduardo is displaying in training sessions.
Wenger did not want to specify the date of Eduardo’s return
Despite the fact that Dudu is physically prepared and is giving his best in training, Wenger did not want to specify as to when da Silva could be expected to be returned in the first team.
- We will see how he develops now. Everybody is so impatient with him. You know that the most difficult part for a player when he has been out for so long is for him to be patient enough to be competitive at the top level. They feel they are ready but you know they are not quite ready – he said.
The manager will wait for some time before placing Eduardo in the first team because so far da Silva played for only 45 minutes after he was out of the game for nine months.
- Let's not rush it too much. He has played 45 minutes after nine months out so that means he is not ready to play in the Premier League just yet – Arsene said in the end.
