Germany striker Miroslav Klose is under quarantine for swine flu after doctors discovered his four-year-old twin sons Noah and Luan are suffering from the virus, it was revealed on Thursday.
Both the Bayern Munich star and his wife Sylwia are currently under observation and Klose, 31, was not able to join the Germany squad in Bonn which had been preparing for Saturday's friendly against Chile.
The suicide of Germany goalkeeper Robert Enke means the match against the Chileans has been cancelled, but it is unclear whether doctors will allow Klose to attend Sunday's memorial service for his national team-mate.
With Germany playing a friendly against the Ivory Coast in Gelsenkirchen next Wednesday, Klose -- the top scorer at the 2006 World Cup -- will need to show no signs of the virus before he is able to join the German squad.
- We must wait for the situation to develop - said Bayern Munich spokesman Markus Hoerwick.
- First (Germany coach) Joachim Loew must tell Miroslav Klose whether he will play against the Ivory Coast next week. -
