There are five days to go till the qualifications start and we will work on righting our defects we noticed during the matches, said Repesa.
In the its last performance at the Acropolis tournament in Greece, The Croatian basketball team was defeated for the second time in a row and ended the tournament last. The Greek overcome the Croats by 77:64.
After an initial leading of the game in the first quarter, the Croatian players made a sries of mistakes and lost the advantage, remaining behind for the rest of the game. They never managed to get close to their adversaries.
The reasons of the Croatian defeat were about twenty lost balls and too many missed shots.
The best player in the Croatian ranks was Markota with 11 points, followed by Ukic with 10.
- There are still five days to go till the beginning of the qualifications and we will work on righting our defects we noticed during all the matches - said Croatian coach Repesa after the game. He added that the absence of Zoran Planinic weighs a lot on the game of the whole team, but that he is happy about the return of Stanko Barac.
