The Brit is disappointed that he will never get the chance to race against one of the greatest drivers of all times, Michael Schumacher.
Lewis Hamilton said that he regretted never having had the chance to test himself against Michael Schumacher. In his 15 year long career, the German was the world champion seven times, won 91 races and retired a year before Hamilton drove his first F1 race.
When he heard that Schumi was retiring, Lewis said: “Damn, please Michael keep going for another season and we'll have some great races against each other.”
"I met him last year before the Turkish Grand Prix and I was impressed because I'd heard that he was arrogant and not very nice, but he took the time to talk to me and I was really honoured," added Lewis.
The young Brit’s other great wish was to meet another one of his heroes, the great Ayrton Senna, on the circuit.
"They are men and drivers who inspire a lot of respect from me,” said Hamilton in the end.
The 22-year-old British driver who has already made history as the first black Formula 1 driver, is currently 12 points aheads of his McLaren colleague Fernando Alonso and leads in the overall rankings.
