The new contract is ten times more favourable for selector Bilic and his assistants.
While the president of the Croatian Football Association (HNS) Vlatko Markovic shuns reporters in Austria, who came to view the future hotel base of the Fiery Ones during the European Football Championship in Austria and Switzerland, details of his offer for a new contract to team selector Slaven Bilic have leaked from well-informed football sources.
We are informed that the HNS leadership has offered a contract to Bilic until the World
Championship in South Africa. This contract is absolutely different than the previous one and president Markovic and his board of executives offer a million euro per year for all team headquarters members!
According to his previous contract, Bilic and his assistants Aljosa Asanovic and Nikola Jurcevic were paid 100,000 kuna per month (13,700 euro approximately), i.e. 1.2 million kuna per year (164, 400 euro approximately), which is ten times less that what the new contract states.
The amount of salaries for the assistants will be determined by selector Bilic, of course. The status of Robert Prosinecki in unfamiliar, who has not got a football academy degree and this is why he was a volunteer during Bilic`s first mandate. Such a status was the reason why he refused to go to Glasgow with the squad, hoping he will obtain a better status for himself.
