IHF Confirms Victory Of Croatian Hockey Team

Victory of Croatia hockey team over Belgium 13-4 is officialy recognized in the end

Captain Dragutin Ljubic said that everything was clear from our side and International Hockey Federaton (IHF) recognized that.

- Belgians complained on papers that were supposedly incorrectly filled by the scoretable. IHF refused complaint, they had meeting and the proposal that result remains the same is accepted by the Directorate of tournament. Several errors happened so it is nobody's fault, procedure was also disturbed by the arrival of Vladimir Seks and higher officials on the opening of championship which caused a terrible crowd. In short, wrong papers have been signed, and real ones have been delivered. After solving that mistake everything was clear. It is important to say that we have filled the papers correctly and registered our players, and the men from main hockey organisation recognized that -

Procedural mistake was made during the application of players. Namely, two hours before the beginning of match the leader of team Dragutin Ljubic added three new names on the list of reported players. President of tournament Richard Fagerlund put the signature on that application, but forgot to inform Zurich and scoretable about that.

Our hockey players are playing the match against Serbia today, that is marked as hardest obstacles of championship.

- We have to win that match because realizing all five victories is the only right way to reach the gold. Game against Belgium have shown that we worth and that we are the most quality team of championship. Something like that has to be proved every 60 minutes on ice. We wish to offer a great match for our fans today. -
