The Croatian striker should confirm on the first day of the new year that he is becoming a member of the Bayern football club.
Germany’s Bild daily’s confidential sources have confirmed that Croatian striker Ivica Olic will not remain in Hamburg’s HSV because Bavaria’s Bayern offered more money for him.
Olic should confirm he is becoming a member of the Bayern club on the first day of the new year.
- We made a serious offer and as we understand it, a decision will be made between Christmas and New Year’s. We must not put pressure on the player – HSV’s sports director Dietmar Beiersdorfer said.
He thus discreetly confirmed that the club would not extend its contract with Olic.
- Ivica is 29 years old and he is about to sign his last big contract in his career. Nobody has the right to be angry with him for what is being offered to him. I feel he will leave us – another HSV Croatian player, Mladen petric, said about two weeks ago.
Although money is certainly crucial for Olic’s transfer to Bayern, his chief motive is playing in the Champion’s League, which will be made possible for him in Bayern.
