Our best skier Ana Jelusic will open the night slalom race at the World Championship in Are.
Young Rijeka citizen Ana Jelusic will be the first to ski down the Gastrappet slope in a night slalom race of the World Championship in the Swedish Are. Right behind her should be home girl Anja Paerson, but her performance is questionable.
“I have been struggling with a slight bug for the past few days. I have a sore throat and problems with my sinuses, but if I do not have a high temperature, I will surely perform. I think I have a lot of energy, and this it the most important thing”, said Anja Paerson.
Leading slalom skier and one of the best skiers of this season, Austrian Marlies Schild, starts from the forth position, while silver medal winner of the last year`s championship, Finnish Poutiainen, starts from number ten.
Our second representative, Sofija Novoselic, has starting number 55. This championship will give a new champion because the current one, our Janica Kostelic, is not performing this season.
