Kostanic Tosic Defeated

Jelena Kostanic Tosic was defeated in the quarter-finals of the Bangalore tournament in India.

Olga Svachuk outplayed our top tennis player 6-3, 6-4. The Ukrainian dominated the match with baseline points from the beginning and she also had a high percentage of first serve. After a little less than half an hour, the Ukrainian led 5-1 and Jelena only managed to win back one break. In the second set, the key break occurred in the eighth game and Jelena did not manage to win back her serve. This will take away many points from our player on the WTA list because, last year, she reached the finals in India, and this will definitely cost her a few positions on the new list.
