ENOUGH OF WHINING

I`ve nothing against Ronaldo, he`s an excellent player, but he really overdoes the theatrical bits, which is condemned in England.
Croatia international Luka Modric was the most prominent individual of the Carling Cup final, as Tottenham lost to Manchester United after the penalties. However, Modric was not among those who had a go.
- Redknapp asked me how I felt. I wasn`t among the first five strikers, but I would have had a go if we had gone into the next round. I wasn`t too thrilled about that, because I have to do everything to overcome that fear. There is no point in it becoming a chronic frustration – Luka Modric told the Sportske novosti daily.
However, the most interesting detail of the match happened after Modric and Ronaldo clashed. They did not seem friendly at all, and Luka explained why.
- I`ve nothing against Ronaldo, he`s an excellent player, but he really overdoes the theatrical bits. In England, where fairness is especially kept in mind and where masculine, fair game is the law, such “whining” stands out even more. I don`t know what good will it do him – Modric reflected.
Still, he did not wish to worry too much about the owner of the Golden Ball, but he touched on the spurs. Modric pointed out that they will surely stay in the Cup and please the fans. He also discarded all rumours about leaving the club.
