`I think he didn`t played his tennis he normally does on these courts,` the Briton said.
Andy Murray needed just over an hour to defeat Croatia's Mario Ancic 6-1 6-2 and advance to the final of the World Indoor Tournament on Saturday.
The second seed broke Ancic's serve twice to wrap up the first set in 24 minutes and maintained his rhythm to reach his second final of the year after winning in Doha last month.
Murray, who will face world number one Rafael Nadal or France's Gael Monfils in the final, said he would not play in Marseille next week, partly out of concern for an ankle problem he had after his quarter-final.
"It felt uncomfortable 20 minutes after yesterday's quarter-final," Murray said in a news conference on Saturday. "I hope it will not be a problem for the final. It didn't bother me today as I played really well."
He added: "The physiotherapist examined my ankle but could not find any damage.
"It is part of the reason I won't play in Marseille next week. I now will try getting my ankle better coming week and preparing for hard-court tournaments to come."
