After Ambrosini had said he wanted to end his career in Milan a few days ago, Nesta expressed the same wish.
After returning from the U.S.A., where he was recovering from a shoulder injury, Alessandro Nesta is training again in Milan and will most likely be ready for the second Champions League match against Celtic which takes place at San Siro next week.
Nesta has expressed the wish to end his career in Milan and thus denied all the rumours regarding a possible transfer to his old club, Lazio.
- I told the management three months ago that I wanted to stay, but I do not wish to discuss the details before I have fully recovered from the injury – said Nesta.
- I do not want to return to Lazio. I like it here and this is where I want to end my career – he added.
He arrived to Milan from Lazio in 2002 for the record sum of 30 million euros and he was one of the main parts of the chain in the team that won the European champion title in 2003 by defeating Juventus on penalty kicks in the finals in Manchester.
