Never More Powerful Mladen Ramljak Memorial

Dinamo will host top European teams from June 7-10, not seniors but their juniors.

Fifth edition of the Mladen Ramljak memorial tournament is the most powerful so far, according to the clubs which will arrive in Zagreb. In two groups, the following clubs will be playing: Dinamo, Portuguese Nacional, Polish Wisla, Hungarian Fehervar, Spanish Espanyol, Russian Cska and two Croatian clubs: Zagreb and Hajduk. The matches will be held at Dinamo`s junior pitch in the morning, while afternoon matches will be played at the Hitrec-Kacian.

-This tournament has an excellent reputation in the football world. The clubs like coming back to Zagreb, we established some contacts and we are now being invited as guests. This year, we only have European clubs arriving, but these are the best representatives from six nations- said Bozidar Sikic, tournament director.

The only winner so far is Dinamo, while players who are the backbone of the current senior team played at the first tournaments.

-Dinamo holders at the first and second tournament were Modric, Corluka and Loncaric and they are now vital in both Dinamo and the squad.

After a brief stagnation, Dinamo has another excellent generation.

-This team has Havoic, Pivaric; Lovren, Hudrovic, Badalj and Bagaric playing and I am convinced that out of the six of them at least two or three will become important links in the Dinamo chain.

The tournament begins of June 7 with the match Zagreb-CSKA at 9 a.m., while the finals are scheduled for June 10, at 11 a.m.
