PBZ Zagreb Indoors Live – Day Five

Quarter-final duels follow of the PBZ Zagreb Indoors.

Hello from the Ice hall of Dom sportova sports hall. The first duel between qualificant Austrian Alexander Peya and Frenchman Michael Llodra is underway. The Frenchman is facing many problems, who saved even three break points, but somehow managed to obtain the advantage 2-1.

Today is the day for real tennis lovers because excellent quarterfinal duels are scheduled. First in line is the one already underway between Frenchman Llorda and Austrian Peya. Duel between the Russian Juzni and Frenchman Gicquel follows. After 16:10 hours Ivan Ljubicic and his great friend Sweed Thomas Johansson will be playing. Cyprus-based Marcos Baghdatis and Frenchman Arnaud Clement are to play right afterwards. Spectators in the Ice hall will have another chance to see Ivan play, doubled with Marin Cilic when they will play with Cermak and Levinsky in the second round. In the small hall only one match is scheduled. At 14 hours Erlich and Ram play Waske and Kohlmann.

Let us get back to the duel going on. Llondra again has problems with his serve and facing the lead 3-2 had to save one break point.

Paya`s pressure finally pays off and Llondra loses his serve at 3-3. There was a disputable ball at 0-30, but this happened before the chief umpire so we believe in his decision. Peya is faced with problems right away in the next game, but saves five break points. Llondra is extremely nervous, but understandably.

Peya takes the set with a new break and opens the second set with his serve. Llondra plays badly than yester and it is a shame Karlo did not get through. In the second set the story changed a bit and Llondra does a break in the third game. But few mistakes and everything goes back to the start, 2-2.
