Pyunik was self-confident, but in five minutes of the second half, the Blues attained 3:0. Zagreb will be watching more European matches!

ZAGREB, CROATIA – The Maksimir stadium was empty, but a match was played nonetheless, between Dinamo and Pyunik, essential for passing through to the third preround of the Champions League qualifiers. This void on the stalls is a result of the Udine incident when flares were thrown and was a handicap. The next step is to wait for the match in Ireland and hope that Bohemians can surprise Red Bull Salzburg.

Ilija Sivonjic did not get in their way, because he was injured during the week. He was replaced by the great Chile player Morales, who recently fought his own battle with the swine flu. He ventured out on two excellent assists.

The match started with Pjunki`s attack, but things were much more interesting for everyone, because every sound from the pitch could be heard. This was a good lesson for everyone; the fans not to harm the club, as well as to the club to realise how much they miss their fans. Both parties realised, in an extreme way, that they cannot play without each other.

Mandzukic`s goal sets things in motion

As expected, the Blues were dominant on the pitch. During the first 15 minutes, the guests were on the brink of receiving a goal, but they blocked kicks with a lot of sacrifice and made the job for their goalkeeper a lot easier. Still, Dinamo players became more precise.

Unfortunately, this precise feature was not long-standing, which caused coach Jurcic to scream and shout. He demanded pressure, because he noticed a severe drop in his team`s play, which is not recommendable in such serious matches.

Just when things looked bleak, Morales forwarded an excellent ball to Mandzukic and the best Blues striker scored easily, breaking the ice. A relief was felt straight away, because the pressure was now on the Pyunik`s side and Dinamo could organise their game with more ease.

In stead of crowning their dominance after the first goal, the play calmed down and actually, things looked like before Mandzukic`s execution. Coach Kruno Jurcic could not hide his anger, his expression was terrifying.

Although mad as hell, Jurcic did not change the line-up, neither did his colleague from Pyunik. Dinamo attacked more that the rival team, which finally motivated Sammir, who completely invisible in the first half.

Striker Mandzukic joined the playful Brazilian, along with Morales and this all added speed and zeal. Things started seeming a lot better, but the second goal was necessary, sufficient for qualifying. Papadopoulos was close after a combination with Morales, but was not fast enough in the final metres.

Morales had the ball, it looked as if he was going to launch a missile, but instead he let Badelj place the ball in the lower left corner of the goal. Morales scored his second assist, Dinamo its second goal and the third prerpund was at an arm`s length!

To confirm Dinamo`s supremacy, Lovren did his best. Sammir threw in the ball and from that point on, it was all a question of routine. The Armenian goalkeeper was powerless once again, and Dinamo resolved its qualifier.

It was especially positive that the players wanted to score more, which is a sign of their serious disposition, professionalism and motive to score big on a European level. Mandzukic came close to another goal, but failed. Chago came in a bit later and kicked the ball with his left foot, but the Pyunik goalkeeper defended his goal.

The Armenian champions could not get the ball to Dinamo`s side of the pitch, they seemed rather dazed and could hardly wait for the match to end.
