PhotoThe injured Croatian forward arrived in Zagreb to support his team players in the qualifiers against England.
Two years ago it was Eduardo Da Silva who struck the first goal against England in Zagreb when Croatia won 2:0. Now in 2008 the Croatian football team are in the qualifiers without Da Silva since he is still recovering from his injury. Upon arriving in Zagreb he spent a couple of minutes with Croatian reporters and voiced his opinion.
- We all expect to win, it will be a difficult game. We have a great chance of winning. I am much better, I feel stronger. In a little bit I will return. I arrived here to watch the game. The doctors say I will play soon, I hope before Christmas – Dudu said.
Eduardo misses the camp in Catez and being with the rest of his team, but they are all hoping his injury will be a thing of the past and Dudu will again be a great danger for opponents soon.
- Since they gathered I have been thinking I could be there with them, training with them. I think this will pass soon and I will soon be with them – Eduardo said.
Everybody is hoping to win and Eduardo gave a result with which he would be pleased. The boys on the field will certainly try to make his wishes come true.
- Let it be 1:0, but a tie is also good.
Before leaving Dudu trained in the Arsenal camp and took the early evening flight to Zagreb. He told us how England thinks.
- They have no confidence, the workers in the club, nobody believes in England – he said.
After a brief chat, Eduardo Da Silva, his wife, daughter, mother-in-law and father-in-law started towards the family house in which he will spend time until the game.
