PhotoSerbia Beat Saudi Arabia 38:29, and is certainly in the second round which will be played in Zadar. It will be hot for them there.
The handball players from Serbia did not allow any surprises, and easily faced Saudi Arabia and won 38:29, and earned their entry into the second round of the competition, in the hot and unfriendly Zadar.
Serbia did not allow surprises
Saudi Arabia were left without any points at the World Handball Championship in Croatia, but Porec will certainly remain a good memory, because they were hosted as candidates for a medal, and not outsiders.
However, whilst the Asians finish the real competition, the Serbs are just starting, only it is unclear where they will finish at the end, second or third. It is clear that they will carry two points and go to Zadar, who told them that they are not welcome.
The loss against Brazil shook the Serbs up quite a bit, just like the match against Norway where they were leading by seven points only to throw everything away in the last second. However, they came back against Norway and won 27:26. In doing so they left Brazil without any chance.
Zadar will host the national teams from Serbia, Macedonia, Denmark, Norway, Poland and Germany, but it is questionable if there will be any Serbian fans in Visnjik, Zadar. They claim that they will be there, because they are only interested in sport, but even with such statements they will not be welcome, because Bojinovic announced that he will raise three fingers in the middle of the arena. We will see.
