The most interesting matches were held in Varazdin, where Germany met Tunis and Russia met Poland. Croatia won again.

The Serbian team nearly made a real surprise at the World Handball Championship, because they held Denmark in suspense to the end. At half time they had a large six point lead, but it seems the young national team lacks experienced players who would know how to react better at moments where Denmark was reducing their lead, which ended in Denmark winning 27:26. The coach of Serbia Jovica Cvetkovic said after the match with Egypt that they expect a win against Denmark, which was taken with reserve, but it seems that Cvjetkovic knows the possibilities of his team well.

-.-Konstanca Mitrović-.-In group D, Egypt expectedly took two points in their match against Saudi Arabia, which they won with an eight goal advantage 26:18. Irfan Samjlagic’s team (Egypt) were leading by four points at half time, and calmly brought the match to an end. The match between Norway and Brazil opened the day in Porec, which ended up in a big win for Norway. The match ended with the result 39:21 for Norway.

Most interesting matches played in Varazdin. The spectators had the opportunity to watch the matches between Tunis and Germany, Poland and Russia, Algeria and Macedonia. The Macedonians led by Lazarov (nine goals) convincingly beat Algeria. After they played equally with the Russians, the Germans barely beat Tunis who entered the match great. The Germans won with a two point lead (26:24), and amongst the best players was Hens, who scored six goals, and Glandorg who scored four.

The Poles surprised the Russians and celebrated a 24:22 win. The Russians held together well in the first half, which ended in their favour 14:11.

Reuters-.--.-Spain gave Split’s audience another shower of goals. They did not win with a 30 point advantage, this time it was 25 points. This time Cuba was the victim, who scored only 20 points against them, however they did better than Kuwait did against Spain. When mentioning Kuwait, we have to say that their loss against Croatia was less than it was on Saturday. The Croatians used Sprem and Cupic to come to a 19 point advantage.

South Korea did not surprise Sweden, Slovakia achieves record win

The awkward Koreans did not manage to surprise the Swedes, who celebrated a 31:25 win.

The Swedes only had problems in defence against the fast Korean players, for which they earned suspensions, but in the end the difference in quality, as well as height could be seen, because the Koreans were forced to shoot over the tall Swedish players, so the goalkeepers had an easier job.

The record win went to Slovakia with a 35 point win, who demolished Australia who only scored 12 points.

The match between Hungary and Romania was interesting. The Hungarians won 30:27, even though the Romanians held well and even led at half time 16:13.

The French played a routine match against Argentina, who did not have a chance. Guigou scored seven goals and led his team to a 33:26 victory, whilst Karabatic was having a slightly worse day scoring only two goals.
