Rain forced the abandonment of play after the Australia innings in the World Cup second stage Super Eights match against West Indies.
The teams did not return following the interval because of the steady rain after Australia scored 322 for six from their 50 overs.
Opener Matthew Hayden scored 158, his second consecutive century of the tournament after he recorded the fastest century in the tournament's history against South Africa last Saturday.
The match will resume at 9.30 a.m. (1300 GMT) on Wednesday.
